When this Kalamazoo-based art gallery and metalworking school was first founded, they wanted a logo that reflected the nature of the craft.
Polished and slick was not in the cards – this logo needed to be gritty, industrial, labor-intensive.
I looked at the tools of the trade, and the Smartshop logo was born.
